2021 Christmas Loans Deadline information

This year's Christmas Loan Deadline is 10 December. Here's everything you need to know.

This year’s Christmas Loan Application Deadline is Friday the 10 December. If you are applying for a loan for Christmas, you need to apply on or before this date to give us time to process and pay your loan in time.

What is the Deadline?

Your Christmas plans are important to us. We know that you may be planning on using a loan from us to buy Christmas gifts, stock up on special food, or cover other festive extras.

To avoid disappointment, we recommend getting your application in on, or before, 10 December 2021. This will make sure that there is enough time for us to consider and decide on your loan. It will also give plenty of time for the money to reach your account before Christmas.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

After the deadline passes, you will still be able to submit your application. As always, we will work to review and make a decision on your application as quickly as we can.

After the 10 December, we can’t make any promises of having it ready in time for Christmas. We will try our best, but a lot will depend on how busy things get.

If I apply on time, am I guaranteed to get a loan?

Our Loans Team will be working extremely hard throughout the festive period. If necessary, they will be working extended hours to ensure that we process all applications received before the deadline in time for Christmas. However, things do sometimes go wrong.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any liability for losses if your loan takes longer than expected to process or to pay into your account.
Over the Christmas period, all loans will continue to be given according to our Loans Policy, based on our lending criteria.

In some cases, unfortunately, we will not be able to approve your application or may offer you less than you apply for. If you are concerned about your chances of being accepted, it is particularly important you leave plenty of time.

What can I do to speed things up?

Please remember that we cannot begin processing your application until you have provided all the information we have requested from you.

To avoid delays, you should do this at the same time as you apply. Our team may also be in touch by text or email to ask you for more information or details about your application. Please respond as soon as you can, to avoid delaying your application.
