It’s always nice to be recognised. That’s why we are proud to have been nominated for the 2020 Consumer Credit Awards, in the ‘Best Credit Union (South)’ category.
The Awards recognise the best products, hottest innovation and most trusted credit firms in the UK, as voted for by consumers. Now in their fifth year, the Consumer Credit Awards have been featured in a wide range of publications including The Guardian and The Spectator, as well as industry publications such as CCR Magazine, Motor Trade News, Credit Connect and Fintech Finance. A range of categories are up for the taking, including ‘Best Car Finance Provider’, ‘Digital Champion’ and ‘Innovation of the Year’.
An estimated three million UK customers will come across the Consumer Credit Awards in 2020, and London Mutual Credit Union will be competing alongside high street banks, FinTech firms, credit unions, brokers and suppliers.

Ben West, Head of Business Development, said:
“We are proud to have been nominated for the Consumer Credit Awards. Thanks to our personalised approach to lending and the innovative products we offer, larger credit unions are increasingly seen by mainstream consumers as a viable option for fair and affordable credit. As a credit union, we exist to improve our members’ financial well-being. This nomination recognises the hard work of our staff and salary deduction partners in achieving that goal.”
Michael Fotis, Founder of Smart Money People, which organises the awards, said:
“It’s clear that we’re now in the middle of a really difficult period for many consumers. In these uncertain times, the Consumer Credit Awards 2020 are back to find and celebrate the firms and suppliers that are working hard to deliver great products and services to their customers. Who will win? Only customers can decide.”
