Accessibility statement

We want everyone who visits our website to feel welcome and to find the experience straightforward. This page explains the steps we take to make our site accessible, the areas where we know we can improve, and how you can contact us if you need help or information in a different format.

Our approach

At London Mutual Credit Union, we want as many people as possible to be able to use our website. We aim to provide clear information, simple navigation, and compatibility with assistive technologies.

  • We design and update our site with accessibility in mind, aiming to meet recognised standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

  • We use plain English where possible, and avoid unnecessary jargon.

  • We test our site on different devices and browsers to make sure it works for as many users as we can.

Where we know we can improve

Despite our efforts, we recognise that not every part of our website will always be fully accessible. For example:

  • Some older documents (such as PDFs) may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.

  • Occasionally, third-party content or features may not meet the same standards as our own pages.

  • As we add new features, there may be short periods where accessibility needs further improvement.

Our obligations

We are committed to meeting our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010. This means taking reasonable steps to ensure our services — including our website — are accessible to everyone, and making adjustments where needed.

What to do if you have difficulty

If you have any problems using our website, or if you need information in a different format (such as large print, audio, Braille, or another language), please get in touch.

We will do our best to respond quickly and to provide the information in a way that works for you.

Feedback and continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process for us. We welcome feedback and suggestions on how we can improve. If something doesn’t work for you, please let us know so we can put it right.
