We’re turning 40 this year… here are our plans!

2022 marks London Mutual’s 40th year. Things have come a long way since we were set up by Southwark Council staff in 1982 as a fair and reliable way for staff to save and borrow affordably.

But what hasn’t changed is our commitment to wider community here in London and beyond. We have continued to help our members make the most of their money by saving regularly and borrowing sensibly.

Over the course of the year, we’ll be celebrating our members, our community and our staff, and thanking them for playing their part in getting us this far. We will be keeping you up to date when there are opportunities to get involved. Each month, we’ll also be letting you know about different ways we are ‘giving back.’ This may be by supporting local and national good causes, and inviting our members and staff team to get involved as well.

Spreading  financial knowledge and sound financial habits has always been a key part of our mission. That’s why, as part of our anniversary celebrations, we’ll also be launching a new series of resources, events and information for members and non-members alike – which we’re calling the Money Gym

Whether it’s hitting the gym or cutting back on the booze, we’ve all got big plans for January. New Years’ is the perfect time to ditch bad habits and make a fresh start, setting ourselves up to make 2022 the best ever.

At London Mutual, we think the same should apply to your money. That’s why, as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we’re re-launching our Money Gym. It’s here to help you with the tips, know-how and support you need to achieve your financial goals in 2022.

Whatever you’re looking to do with your finances in 2022, we want to help. Whether it’s getting that credit card paid off, starting the savings habit, or preparing for big life changes like moving house, over the year, we want to give you the tools you need to make it happen.
